The purpose and significance of plinths, supports, tables and chairs have been upended, sometimes metaphorically and often physically. The reading of each object falls between purpose, symbol and metaphor. The modernist white cube is entangled with a chicken coop, its plinth becoming an elaborate hen house. A table tennis table game is set up on a kitchen table, the net postioned for a particularly loaded game.
