These small works encapsulate qualities of care, repair, connecting and joining. The process of making is like taking a journey, without a destination. I look for clues in how to start and where to go. The beginnings might be found in the title, or in the creases and stains on a cover, or in a particular pattern or colour.

The works slowly evolve, hovering between the figurative and abstract - sometimes appearing like figures on a stage, at other times, structures,  incidents, maps or environments, with titles acting as signposts.
